The KingdomA Poem by PoeticVandalThis poem is basically my description of heaven....Its pale silver walls in twilight shines, A great city lies in its grandiose confines. Not many can claim in life this sight, An abode of peace, pleasure and respite. Nested in a golden mountain it lies, Part of a range that stretches for miles. An island in a sea where it rests its root, A wondrous sight that none can dispute. The city in a pearly glow, forever in its prime, For it stands untouched in the tides of time. And at the centre of this greatness stands a tower of white stone, Wherein the great King rests upon his throne. He watches over all man, beast and tree, As they dwell without sorrow and forever free. Beside the tower in a home of its own, Stands an ashen tree so laboriously grown. On its branches white, flowers pale arose, Its pale leaves dance as a gentle breeze blows Above all this exists a nightly sky, Some stars still, while others rode by. Yet the city dwells not in endless night, For it shines like day gold and bright. Though this may be all journey's end, None fret for such feelings they transcend......
