Falling to My Death

Falling to My Death

A Poem by Jennifer
"

last night i hung out with a guy ive had feelings for for like ever...he made me promise that if we started hanging out more...i wouldnt fall for him...he made it clear he wouldnt be there to catch me

"

I promised I wouldn’t

Yet here I stand wanting

To not just fall but jump

Off this cliff to my own death

My death by heart break

You told me you wouldn’t be

There to catch me if I fall

So why do I still stand on

The edge of this cliff hundreds of feet

From what I know will be

My demise; my heart break
