You Left MeA Poem by SanityI wrote this poem about all the abandonment I've faced in my life, from my dad kicking me out of his home last year, saying I'm no longer welcome. To the issues being adopted has caused in meYou left me You left me out in the rain As if in your eyes, I was nothing but a strain you left me forced out of your life your home the only place I have ever known you left me you've severed all ties you've said your goodbyes As the distance grows, my how time flies mother, you left me in the arms of another and walked away crying, begging you to stay Father, you left me Proving water is thicker than blood forced out, by one the who falsely calls herself mother Stricken down by the one I called brother My love, you left me When things got tough When Life got rough when I needed you most You left me and in this world I am alone without a life without a home and in this world I am weak Preyed on by emotions that make me so meek Into no arms can I fall ...why even live at all? In a world that will bring you up just to beat you down left all alone without a sound abandoned.... ....happiness.... you left me...
