I loved this piece, I have no Idea who your father is, or even that there was such a thing as the greatest and darkest poet of all time. So I am going by the piece alone. I found it quite liberating, like a moth emerging from the cocoon, but in the struggle curses the pod, once protective and vital but now unnecessary and limiting. Evolution is not just for species but also for the heart and soul. Looking back at some of the women I have loved, I wonder what the hell I was thinking. Great Write.

It is freeing when you are finally free of a weight that has dragged you down for so long. Whiether that weight be of a physical nature or a weight of the heart. It's good to finally let go, and even if we shall still always have our scars, at least they carry our memories. Both the good and bad ones, and in the end both shape us, do they not? Some make us stronger, and some simply make us smile, and yet they all shape us. Good or bad, they shape who we are all the same.

Remove even one of those blows and the sculpture has changed, we can be what we are without every single second being treasured.

I felt like, through your eyes, I could feel your pain. Because you weren't just heartbroken in this and hiding in a corner, you were still overcoming it and you were still being strong.
Though it was dark in the beginning, the poem had a sense of redemption that brought a smile to my lips. It's a reminder that we can't wallow in our own pain,
thank you for sharing

Wow. This....blew me away. I don't know you--I've only just visited your profile--so I think a greeting is in order....I'm Savannah, no nicknames if you please. I spotted your profile and thought I would take a look. What do I find? You're related to one of the greatest--and darkest--poets of all time! My jealousy is slightly appalling. Anyway, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, friend. You've inherited a great talent.
Keep doing what you're doing,
Savannah

I'm glad you like my poetry ^^ you flatter me. I've always had a flair for dark poetry even before I found out my connection to my famous relative. There is just something soothing about venting through my writing, and this is how it usually turns out. I'll have to check out some of your own writing later, I look forward to reading it ^^

Good to stand tall. Pain will be there. At least be kind in the goodbye. Never know where life where lead you. I had three people reappear in my life. I like the honest and directness of the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
