Lonely Dance By the Moonlight

Just a poem written on a sad and lonely night.....

The moon will cast a lonely shadow,

And envy the sun for the people who dance below it

But one used to the night....

Will only get burned in the sun's pure light.

So another day is another dusk

We return watching the evening sun fade from rust.

once again...laid to rest

And embrace the lonely moon

For in the end...... 

It is the only one to guide us

The only light to warm our soul

Lest we turn

And let our eternal souls burn

By a loving sun....

That has forsaken us

Poor effulgent moon... envy all it mights it pales in comparison to the sun's fair light, that scorches and burns, but we still yearn for it's fiery touch ;) Amazing poem full of great lyrical verse, love the tone, well penned!!!

i love this poem, i feel that i can relate to being lonly, but the sun part i rather not lol ^.^ poems about the moon are my favorite so i cant resist
