Two Candles

Two Candles

A Poem by Sanity
"

Another poem of love and loss.......and fire

"
Two candles flicker and become one

Passions silhouetted by a pool of agony

As the water pulls me in

I look up hoping to see your flame guide me back

But as the waters turn my vision black

I see your candle flicker

I see you turn your back

I lose hope, I let the waters embrace me

As I drift into the unknown darkness

I let the agony fill my lungs

As I try to drown my soul

Everything that I loved is gone

Yet just as the blackness claims me

I feel a tender hand within my own

I look upon your face

I break the surface

As the pool fades into the basin of my soul

I clutch your hand

Warmth spreads through every bone

And my once damned soul....

Knows the light of passion's fire once again
