Requiem of the fallen

Requiem of the fallen

A Poem by Sanity
"

I am fascinated by fallen angels despite being atheist and I thought it would be interesting to write a poem of ones perspective of being cast out from heaven.

"
Wings turn black

Halo falls

I start to wonder who I am at all

I descend to earth,

A crimson streak

Lips sewn shut

Heart to sore to speak

As I meet the ground,

A single tear grazes my cheek

I will walk this lonely earth,

For as long as my spirit will seek

A light that has forsaken me

As I walk these winding roads

People pass me by

Yet none of them will see me cry

None will think me weak

My eyes are closed

Lips sewn shut

And heart to sore to speak

I don't know much about poetry myself, but it was a lovely poem. :) I could tell you a lot of mythos/legends/fact and or fiction/etc, etc for religion, angels and demons, spirits and what not. That is a very fascinating genre. Keep up the good work.

Powerful story and description in this poem. Create a wild and sad vision with your words. I like the way you ended the poem. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
