Passion of The Alchemist

Passion of The Alchemist

A Poem by The Archon

By endless water, guided by the moon
Dark spirits descend
Upon my soul they do alight
Mystery beckoning
And burdens me so, burdens me so

Dragging me down beneath the waves
Revealing secrets
Long lost from the ancients
This pain upon my heart
Wisdom and power eternal
As winter's first fallen snow

I am set adrift
Upon the seas of time
And t'were it not for the curse of my albatross heart
Saturn would release his ceaseless grip

But alas I am dragged back down below
As if an anchor hung about my neck
The price of hatred and resentment

And what choice will i make?
To be submerged?
And spit out as an infant?
Or release my soul to the waters
And be turned to gold

Wow, wonderful imagery! Very well put together, painting scenes that I don't quite understand fully but wanting more. I think I understand the Saturn reference. So, what choice will you make?
