Communion

Communion

A Poem by The Archon

Peaceful steps beneath the trees
More than sound or scent of breeze
Wind swoops down beneath my wings
Lifts my spirit as the foliage sings
Morning sun and thriving life
Far from restless fighting strife
Expelling fear, that borne of night
Strung afar by ceaseless might
Instilling tones within my heart
Luminous beauty set apart
Of that most sacred to embark
A journey leading from the dark
As if Gaia herself did see
A mortal man who wished to be
Something more and something free
Bestowed on me this mystery

The Archon: It is a gorgeous poem, just breathtaking. The flow, rhythm, & rhyme is perfection. The imagery of nature, from the beginning, the trees, the forest and all of natures, described so beautifully; and that beauty you describe can set us all free, such peace to be gathered and given freely by nature. Communion is a wonderful title. I am awestruck by this poem, swept away into the forest, all the metaphors you use are simply amazing. Every line is like a slice of heaven, As if Gaia herself did see, and that I believe is true. just brilliant writing. Thank you so very much. Dale

To find nature and know Gaia. We have found utopia. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
