The Way of Nature

The Way of Nature

A Poem by The Archon

I went deep into the forest
Asked of the trees
What should I learn? How should I grow?
They answered with fluttering leaves

I climbed the heights of mountains
Inquired of their majesty
What must I do to be consistent and patient?
They stared back at me with piercing stone

I dove deep into the flowing river
Pleaded, teach me how to let go!
With waves of grace
She washed over me

I set my eyes to the sky
How do I reach my goals?
With warm rays of sunshine
The birds carry on without a care

Nature cares not of manly things, and how is it to know we even exist, except by how we disrespect and disregard it's necessity, devastate and destroy its incomparable beauty?

After that, even if it had answers, why would they give them to us?

Reflections of a conscious mind, you again amaze us with your poetic skill … thank you, Poet, gratefully and sincerely for sharing! ~ Richard

Very poetic words nice flow to my eyes. Someone can understant why nature is our mother. We can still feel old spirits like people at 6 century. It s great world. We can go back and re connected with spirit with our mother. Thanks for your poem.

I enjoyed the poem. Ending with simple logic.
