To Have Another From The Inside.

To Have Another From The Inside.

A Poem by E. Greene

It was an odd sensation, the feel of one's hand touching my own. She stood with me, fingers clasping at the other's, her eyes locked onto my face. She felt tender, her skin wrapping itself around mine, surrendering to my grip almost completely. Her gaze remained upon me, unflinching, as if she meant to trap my being in her sight.

The sensation of her touch was more than physical. I could feel it in her grasp, the pressure from her squeeze imprinting itself into me. I turned to meet her eyes, to intercept her thoughts as they beat down upon me. Her cheeks folded and her lips arced into a smile. I felt my face contort to reflect her own, to match her sincerity.

Her gaze breaks free. She presses herself upon me, closing the void between our bodies. I felt the cold depart as her warmth imposed itself. I put my hands around her, pulling the heat deeper into my body. Her own own arms take me in. We settle within each other, embracing.

Her head tilts upwards, reaching out for me. Her breath flows out, staining the air with it's perfume. Her mouth implores me without speaking, and I bend forward to oblige it. Her lips wrap themselves around mine. I taste the inside of her smile. It's flavor leaves me intoxicated.

My heart cascades down my body.
