In the paper

In the paper

A Poem by Sangria Green

You’ve read my story in the paper

Heard my style isn’t some old trend

You’ve wondered was I the real

Shaper or Did the story shape me

In this land where we all are suppose to be free

but then again who am I to say that

cause you knew the night might be my only real friend

And through We’re suppose to do better

it might take a while for our own story to mend

And I remember the song before hand

What really happened way back when

That I would turn in to a rocker

that you would grow up playing soccer

And then all the flyer flies we captured

in the land of ever after would

 all be let free

when storms came to an end

and no one paid attention to our sin

we played the last game

but you don’t remember

I just came back to life

in the last day to December

no that’s just some story they made to scare you

then again we haven’t met

so how could you know its true?
