Today's sin

Today's sin

A Poem by Sangria Green

Breaking breaking

Sinning is what looking toward tomorrow means

I want to hear the ties of the world

Falling far behind me

Face the facts you don’t think you’ll survive

We’re all gonna’ die

And I can’t stand the thought

Your grip might be tightening

What am I leaving behind?

I haven’t even started and

I feel like I’m running out of time

All the time we spent pretending

Gave Ideas of walking dead

And since we’re all gonna’ die

I want to tear apart the ties that bind us

Together

Hunt the lies that masks ourselves

I’m going to be a sinner

I’m going to live forever

In a land of make believe

‘Cause this reality is frightening

In that it’s sickening

Egotistical

Like there’s nothing better

But I know I can build something

That I’d tear down the world for

Breaking breaking

Sinning is what looking toward tomorrow means

I want to hear the ties of the world

Falling far behind me

Face the facts you don’t think you’ll survive

We’re all gonna’ die

I want to live

I want to really be free

Of all that society’s trying to push onto me

You’re dragging me back down to somewhere deep

But what am I leaving behind

If it’s all gonna end

Then I want to drag the world down with me

I’m through doing your pretending

Now let’s play my make believe

Breaking breaking

Sinning is what looking toward tomorrow means

I want to hear the ties of the world

Falling far behind me

Face the facts you don’t think you’ll survive

We’re all gonna’ die

I‘m going to be a sinner

I’m going to live forever

I’m going to make an empire

I’m going to create a world

Where my death will make history

All the time we spent pretending

Gave Ideas of walking dead

And since we’re all gonna’ die

I want to tear apart the ties that bind us

Together

Hunt the lies that masks ourselves

I’m going to be a sinner

I’m going to live forever

In a land of make believe

‘Cause this reality is frightening

In that it’s sickening

Egotistical

Like there’s nothing better

But I know I can build something

That I’d tear down the world for

Breaking breaking

Sinning is what looking toward the next day means

I want to hear the ties of the world

Falling far behind me

Face the facts you don’t think you’ll survive

We’re all gonna’ die

And I can’t stand the thought

Your grip might be tightening

What am I leaving behind?

I haven’t even started and

I feel like I’m running out of time

All the time we spent pretending

Gave Ideas of walking dead

And since we’re all gonna’ die

If sinning is what tomorrow means

I’m going to be a sinner
