Just One More ChanceA Poem by poetforlifeFive years old and in time out you throw a fit and cry and pout mom let me out and I'll behave One little smile and then you say... Just one more chance, I promise you I'll be so good, you won't know what to do Wrapped in my arms, I squeeze you tight I'll give you one more chance to make it right. Sweet sixteen, you're lying there you touch my face and wipe a tear A little one might be on its way You drop down on your knees and pray.... Just one more chance, cause we're so young we weren't plannin this, just havin fun We'll live our lives to make you proud Just one more chance, God grant it now. I pack my bags and load the car the walk to where you stand seems far I hug your neck and kiss your cheek through broken sobs you try to plead Just one more chance, don't leave me now I'm beggin you, we can work this out I'll sacrifice anything I can for one more chance, to be your man. © 2009 poetforlifeAuthor's Note
