His Heart

 

His heart is like a love song,

so tender and expressive

all he longs to do with words

is show the world what's in it.

 

His heart is like a poem

just letting the words flow

He lays it all out on the line

not knowing where it might go.

 

His heart is like a kiss

of the sweetest, passionate kind

he'll tell you if you ask him

just what's on his mind.

 

His heart is like a blanket

so warm around me wraps

I've built these walls for so long

his words make them collapse.

 

His heart is like a promise

to always be my friend

I know that through life's battles

he'll be there in the end.

Oh my each stanza alone is a wonderfully sentimental piece of kind expression but the whole thing together is really a heartwarming tribute to someone who you must really adore.

i have said this before a kiss can tell you so much! for me this stanza was the sweetest of them all. as to the rest the poem was just .... well .... wonderful!

If indeed the heart is the seat of the soul, then the spirit spoken of here is in complete control of the love that flows out of it.

And you have expressed that for all to see and feel detail by detail and I am intrigued and awake enough to see and understand that by expressing it as such, you have lain bare your own heart there upon your sleeve to be seen and felt by all. This is a great and elequently written piece and I for one am glad to have had the opportunity to get to know a little about the author who wrote it.
