THANKFUL

I look at my life and this world that we live in

and all of the beauty around

How can I be sad and feel cheated or bad

when I see all that surrounds?

I hear people complain of their loss and their gain

and all that they wish it could be

But I cherish this ride on the big coaster called life

take your blinders off and just SEE

Do you drive a car, never walking so far

that you don't know how you'll get back?

Do you stop at the store for wants, needs and more

when others around you lack?

Put gas in your car cause you have money to do?

Someone's on the corner holding a sign, just look around you!

When you have to call home and you pick up your cell

Do you know how many don't have it as well?

Does your husband care if you're home at night

if you're late, do you know he'll turn on the light?

Did you have dinner with family or friends

someone did without today, at their wits end!

We are so ungrateful for what we've been given

so stop joining the dead and let's start living.

This life we've been given is a beautiful gift

it's hard soometimes but your spirits should lift

when you look around at those less fortunate.

I thank God every day for the life that He gives.

I have to agree, we must stop living with blinkers on, open our eyes and just see! thank you for opening my eyes the blinkers have been on for far too long!

I couldnt agree with you more
yes we all take what we have in life for granted.
We dont enjoy the little things in life and some of us dont know
how to enjoy the life that we have because sometimes we have
never been in bad situations until we hit rock bottom.
