Did you think I'd stay forever with you treating me that way?

That you could spill your guts and speak those words you say?

Did you think I'd put up with it for the rest of my life

Hear the anger and frustration and always feel the strife?

Did you think I wouldn't notice that your touch was not the same?

That you'd fallen out of love with me, you say I'm the one to blame?

Did you think I'd believe you when "I'm sorry's" you'd dish out

I've heard it all so many times, I know the routine well.

Did you think my heart wouldn't break being stomped on once again

does it make you feel big to put me down, you little, little man?

Did you think I wouldn't find the strength to get up off my knees

to dry my own tears this time and lift my fallen ME?

Did you think I was afraid to get back in your face

to break free from your ugly words and take back my own space?

Did you think that you could keep me down, defeated and afraid?

I'm afraid your're wrong this time, my friend, today's a brand new day.

Did you think I was so weak, I would never find an out?

Let me tell you something you don't know, I'm strong and I am proud.

Your problem is you just don't think and that will be your loss

No one walks all over me, I don't need a dad, I'll be my own damn boss!
