FIRA Poem by Alexandria Reecefrozen, a lamentWhere snow falls silent through the trees, Frosty gusts freeze all the leaves, Branches bow with icicle, It's there you'll know my heart. When cold winds tear through solemn pass, And seas form into walls of glass, The shores a'spark with icy dust, It's there you'll know my heart. About the dead trees frozen, bowed, Beneath the dire sweeping cloud, A harsh grey sinking through the weeks, It's there you'll know my heart. In hopeless fits of hailstorms, And ice-lain mouths of maelstroms, Where water freezing breaks the wood, Certainly, there you'll know my heart. A death wish caught in frozen bowers, A frosty field that yields no flow'rs, And as the tears freeze to my face, It's here you'll know my heart! And unlike Robert Frost who left, And later silent riding wept, I'll lie down in this welcoming snow, For then you'll know my heart.
