No title As Of Yet

No title As Of Yet

A Poem by Sandra835

What has changed is widely ranged,
And I have become aware,
As the sun sets on many regrets,
I can no longer pay this fare.

My shape and stance, my shifted dance,
No longer provide me shelter
and inside my heart, I fall apart,
My pain boils to a swelter.

I had born no thought to what I sought,
and relinquished in myself this power

Now I stand alone besides my empty throne,

High in my forgotten tower

So goodbye soul that I let go,

Although I know not for what

I say my prayers and erase my cares

And sqeeze my heart tightly shut.

The poem is amazing. The emotion of the poem is cold and locked up. Each set of lines adding to the sadness.
"I had born no thought to what I sought,
and relinquished in myself this power"
Funny how life can be. We can find ourselves in a bad place with no place to go. No weakness in this excellent poem.
