Trying

I wrote this awhile ago. I've never posted something of mine for open review before, so this new for me. What are your thoughts?

Trying

I’m trying to think its not heart break

I’m trying to wish my pain away

I’m trying to see the positive side of things

I’m trying to wait for a brighter day

 

But I feel like I’m broken, and failing,

And losing the pieces of my heart

And the stronger I hold onto them

The faster they are falling apart

 

But still,

I am trying to pray for my recovery,

I am trying to hold out for that brighter light

I am trying to listen and really hear

I am trying to believe it will be all right.

 

I am trying to push my way through

I am trying to struggle all the way past

I am trying to conquer this sadness

I am trying to simply outlast

Sometime that is all we can do. Is to outlast the pain and bad things. Then move on and hope for a better place and situation. I like the flow of desire and repetition of the words "I am trying." Hard time should be better time soon we hope? Thank you sharing the excellent poem.
