Great Waves

Great Waves

Enjoy the bliss of the sizzling sea
Which then comes crash bang
over the rocks and shore.
Wave after wave gushing
hitting the stones as the tide enters.

Frothing, mesmerizing,
Inside out,upside down
While bubbles and white noise
Like a drink popping continuously
Inserting itself into my brain,’til am no more
Taking my world over and brainwashing
Until there is nothing left of me but waves
crashing waves in a hollow of my mind,
My soul sublimated into the sea
And tied to the moon, everspace calling me,
Into another being. Until satisfied I’m there
To fulfil what the universe has offered me to.

All In the quiet space of my being,
Until I am returned to just the wind and tide,
The rocks holding me in place so I won’t drift
Away into the ether, because of somethingness.
Nor to the Unknown, No more no less

Takes me back to my oceanside childhood home. The sounds of crashing and splashing, the spray and mist, all seem to come and go but still always remains somehow, always there, although never the same; both unknown and known. Just spectacular. Thanks for sharing.

Living here in the west coast I often find myself in wonder of that endless blue. To me it is nature's whisper as I hear the rippling waves crawl up upon the sandy shore. Its sound like a carbonated water bottle being opened for the first time. And the scent of sea salt heavy in the air. Just this weekend I found myself at cannery row watching the sea otters resting by the shore. It was just a perfect moment to experience. Thank you for sharing your wonderful poem with us.
