A Poem by Sandra Rose Waybill
"

A poem extracted from my second poetry book to give a sample of my poetry from 06/07.

"

Rushed and busy, chores done
Strawberry candle, cherry incense
Relax with music and schnapps
Prepare dinner and consume
Chocolate candle
Dance, romance, back to bed

Let me out from this troubling day,
Get me into the music that I choose to play.
Release me from this barrier’d cell,
Of what once was me, but now is hell.

My head is tense, hot, hurting, sad.
I don’t want to be inside it.
I snarl my fury outwards, no peace,
Til I fall into some music.
Turn out of electric thrum and whirrrrrrrrrrrr
Turn on to tune, melody, pleasant sounds, Madelia!

This is an amazing piece.
I like your smooth flowing rhyme.
This stanza is my favorite:
