The day burns bright
Bright like my heart
Burning, bringing forth light
Burning, scorching all life

The day burns long
All day it burns
For eons it burns
Until it burns out

The night freezes black
Black like my heart
Freezing, corroding all life
Freezing, killing the light

The night freezes all
In darkness it creeps
Creeping in the black
Black like my heart
