Journey to Redemption

Journey to Redemption

A Poem by Sean Ethan Torres
"

the sad story of me walking aimlessly around the city after being forced to separate with my former girlfriend. lets just say they don't like me. but i'll always love and protect her, i owe her that.

"

As we sat there

Gasping for air

Their eyes locked on me

Their stares filled not with glee

I spoke the truth, not a lie

As they exclaimed that I should die

They force our parting

This is only starting

They call me a liar, a criminal, a con, a cheat

I grab my heart as it refuses to beat

Alone and cold with my head hung low

I promise I’ll search high and low

I swear I’ll find you again

Until I meet my end

All eyes locked on me

If only we were free

They all see my sin

The glares are closing in

Self-hatred hangs overhead like a cloud

As darkness engulfs me like a shroud

I’ll travel though many storms

I’ll grab life by the Devil’s horns

I’ll search the sea and the skies

Just so I can look into your eyes

I swear to you we’ll be together again

Even if it takes me to my end
