The Dragon's MistakeA Poem by MysteriesUnsolved
In a far mystic land, like any story starts
A dragon slayer resided, and dragons of course A princess trapped, but she was quite brave She thought she'd fight the dragon, right to her grave She screeched and she yelled, threw thorns at it The dragon went mental, wondering what got her ill He decided he'd had enough, wanted to fly her out of there But then came her counterpart, worse than he'd imagined The princess he kept aside, he had to save his own life Tried to speak and put forth some sense, so he could survive But out came a flame, oops he'd done the wrong thing The dragon slayer wielded his sword, quite offended And now cause of that small bit of fire, and mistaken offense The dragon lies there, fighting for his head We all know how the story really does end The dragon with a spear through his heart But all he was trying to do Was leave the stupid humans and never come back He never should've bothered trying to protect the princess The ungrateful blonde, she'd have his head © 2014 MysteriesUnsolvedAuthor's Note
