The Stranger

The Stranger

A Poem by MysteriesUnsolved

Amidst the mystic fog,
A stranger looks upon the snow
His eyes the color of crystal shards
In his hand lay winter's bow

He looks upon the scene before him
Watching closely the snow unmarred
The snowflakes reflected in his eyes
An intricate design portraying battle scars

Looking deeper one would see
The sadness he tries to hide
Behind the cold demeanor
He understands what plagues the mind

Why else must they avoid me, he thinks
But to escape the cold harshness
They never tend to look deeper
There's a reason behind this

The cold brings along the low points in life
I am chosen to portray them
To show them what it is to survive
To make them stronger from within

Why else would summer be after winter
For after a low point comes a high rise
Just like a rainbow after a hurricane
To represent the beauty of living life

The purity of snow portraying innocence
The fairies of winter deployed under my command
There is hope in every snowflake that falls
To purge the land is my demand

A lone soldier, he stands amidst the snow
Watching on with proud eyes
As he wields his staff of ice
Fighting demons by your side
