Irrational envy

Irrational envy

A Poem by Sana Ajarour
"

The more you are alert and afraid to be caught up by something, the more that thing controls you, and ironically you come to cherish eventually that long-feared thing. That thing is love.

"
I'm fiercely infatuated with you,
To the irrational extent of envying
All the things surrounding you.

I do envy the paths you take,
The hallways you glide through,
The keys your beauteous fingers twiddle,
And the papers they coldly shuffle.

I do envy the blanket nestling your body,
The pillow you welter your head upon,
The chalk-powder that sticks to your hand-pores,
The coffe foam that passes smoothly by your lips.

Forgive my foolishness, but it is unfair these
Paltry things are ever near you, when I'm not.
Forgive my foolishness, but senses are helplessly
poisoned when distance reigns and rules.

I'm fatigued to remain long-hanged
On your waiting-hanger, being eaten
Tardily by the moth of languish,
And you seldom do choose to put me on.
