The Turning of Arty and Ellie

A Chapter by Ashimoto
"

Artemis' past... who is this Elichia? You find out in future chapters if you don't know already. Hahaha!

"
                             Flashback(Normal POV)

"Artemis?" Destinare called to her young son, "Come one, my sweet. We will be late meeting Eliane and Elichia. You know how much you like
Elichia."
"Mother!" Artemis peeked his head out the door with his face flushed, "I do NOT like
Elichia in any other way. She just happens to be my best friend, and a girl."
"Whatever you say, my dear." Destinare giggled before packing her bag with Holy Water bullets.
"What does Auntie Eliane wish to show you, Mother?" Artemis asked.
"Even I don't know, my love." Destinare sighed, "She said that she had an invention that will help with our vampire hunting."
Artemis tugged on his pea-coat and followed his mother out the door.
"Where are you going, my beautiful damsel?" Bonifacio called from the tavern, beer in his hand.
Destinare kept walking while Artemis stuck his tongue out at Bonifacio.
Destinare and Eliane had their own training ground. Of course, it was secretly underground and only Eliane's husband and the kids knew of it.
The training center was a wide dome with a bunch of weapons and training dummies.
Destinare led Artemis into the underground facility. There was a woman with a blue Victorian dress and gentle brown hair.
"Destinare, my dear, you are late." the woman chuckled.
"Oh, Eliane, my friend, I was stopped by Bonifacio on the way here." Destinare smiled at the woman.
Eliane growled, "When will that man learn that you are too good for him?"
Eliane had a sharp tongue and it got her into trouble more than you could count. Luckily, she had combat training.
"Artemis!" came a voice. Artemis looked to see a girl with bright red hair that was tied in a ponytail. She had a teal pea-coat with red ribbons, long red shorts, and black shoes. She looked like a boy, if it weren't for her big teal eyes and pretty face.
"Elichia." Artemis said before being hugged by said girl.
"Let's spar." Elichia smiled and she put up her dukes.
Artemis accepted the challenge and was down in five seconds.
"Come on, Arty!" Elichia complained, "Be serious about this."
"I am." Artemis cried, "You are just REALLY strong."
Elichia's cheeks flushed, "I know, right?"
Elichia had a huge ego, and it showed immensely.
"Elichia." Eliane called to her daughter, "Don't tease the boy too much. Why don't you two go for a walk while the women train?"
"Alright." Elichia agreed, "Let's go, Arty!"
Artemis followed the young girl into the marketplace where they would take a short walk.
   "Elichia?" Artemis asked.
"What is it?" Elichia looked to him.
"Do you ever get tired of the way people treat us?" Artemis asked.
Elichia sighed, "I don't care how others think of me. They can believe what they want to believe, however, they better keep their damn mouths shut unless that want me to shove my foot up their asses."
Artemis smiled brightly at his friend. She had her mother's sharp tongue.
   "Alias!"
Elichia heard her last name being called. She turned to see a group of boys smirking at her.
"What the Hell do you bozos want?" Elichia growled.
"Don't talk to us like that, woman." the leader spat.
"Trevor, save your stupidity for someone who gives a s**t." Elichia yawned, bored of his conversation.
"You'd better watch your mouth, Alias." Trevor growled, "I can do what I want because I'm a man and you're a woman."
"I'm a woman who can kick your a*s." Elichia folded her arms.
Trevor's crew laughed as their leader started getting redder and redder from anger and slight embarrassment.
"B***h!" Trevor ran forwards with his fist clenched. Elichia dodged and kicked him in the... well you know.
"Talk like that to me again and you can say goodbye to your balls if you haven't already." Elichia turned and walked away.
"You are going to get in trouble one of these day." Artemis sighed, "And I don't even know which is worse: your kicks and punches or your mouth."
Elichia smiled, "I have been working on some techniques for my punches and kicks. I call them 'Killer Punches' and 'Death Kicks'."
Artemis sighed. There was no way to reason with such a stubborn girl.
When they returned, Destinare took Artemis home.

                                 Hours Later...

"I'm so glad that you decided to join our clan." Leo smirked.
"I am only doing it so I can find my mother's reincarnation." Artemis laid his head on his mother's dead carcass.
Leo opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted my a head-splitting kick to the head, sending Leo crashing into a wall and knocking him out momentarily.
"I'm here to save you, Arty!" came the infamous voice.
"Elichia!" Artemis cried, but gasped when he saw her. She had blood all over her teal coat, fangs showing from her mouth, claws the size of a bear's coming from her nails, and in her hand was a previous vampire's head.
   "Elichia... What happened?" Artemis asked.
"Got bit from behind." Elichia showed her neck, "Mum is dead, by the way. What about yours?"
Artemis looked down at his mother's corpse. He looked up with misty eyes.
"Aww." Elichia held out her hands, "Come here, Arty."
She bent down and gave the new vampire boy a heartwarming hug.
"We should give our mums a proper burial, don't you think?" Elichia asked.
"Yes. Of course." Artemis picked up his mother with superhuman strength and carried her out of the cave, not caring if Leo was getting up or not.
Along the way to the grave sight, Elichia picked up her mother, who was... scattered around the town. However, Elichia picked up all the parts and carried them with a gloomy smile.
The grave sight was sad to see. The grave stones were all cracked and they looked like they haven't been taken care of in years.
"Let's put them on the hill." Elichia motioned to the top of "Silent Hill". It was named by the town for people to go their and pray for their loved ones, hence being "silent".
The pair dug and buried their mothers on the hill. Elichia told Artemis to wait there while she went to get something.
She came back with silver gravestones that had writing on them.
"Mother told me to have them, just in case." Elichia laughed sadly and put their final dates on them. Elichia even put the date that her and Artemis were "turned".
Fetching into her pocket, Elichia pulled out a lily flower and set it on her mother's tomb saying how much her mother loved lilies.
"I need a morning glory." Artemis said, for that was his mother's favorite flower.
"Here." Elichia took out a morning glory from her pocket, "I brought it just in case."
"Thanks, El." Artemis set it on the tomb.
"Hey." Elichia said, "You called me something other than 'Elichia'."
   "Sorry." Artemis apologized.
Elichia shook her head, "It's quite all right."
They stood in silence for a bit before Elichia broke the silence.
"Artemis." she said his full name, which meant she wanted his full attention, "Let's be Vampire Hunters."
"What?" Artemis looked to her, "Like our mothers?"
"Yes." a shadow cast over Elichia, "We must seek revenge for what they did to our mothers."
"Mother said that revenge is bad." Artemis sighed, "They wouldn't want us to get such a unhealthy obsession."
Elichia growled and stood up, "So you don't give a s**t about your mother's death, is that it?!"
"What the Hell are you talking about?!" Artemis stood up too, "Of course I care! I just don't think that we should waste our lives away like that!"
Elichia roundhouse kicked Artemis, being a vampire, and having Sacred Blood, made her kicks 10,000 times stronger than normal, sending Artemis to the bottom of the hill with a cracked cheek.
"That would have killed a normal person." Elichia sneered, "I'll have to train harder if I want to kill a vampire with it."
Artemis glared at her, "You are insane."
"Like I've never heard that before." Elichia cackled, "Watch me, Artemis. I'll be the vampire who will kill all the vampires she can get her hands on and eventually I will kill the Grand Leader, Rachael Marie.
"Our mothers talked about Rachael Marie constantly. Rachael Marie was the strongest vampire in the world, currently. She ran the Maverick Clan, which she hopes will lead them to world domination. Rachael Marie is the soul purpose for our mothers' training, but I guess they weren't strong enough to take on these weakling vampires. It's actually quite pitiful."
"How can you speak of our mothers in such a way?!" Artemis gasped, "Don't be all high and mighty just yet when you haven't defeated a single vampire!"
"But at least I survived!" Elichia howled, "This was the first stepping stone and they tripped and fell. It's their fault!"
"They tried to protect you, they kept you safe! My mother died trying to protect me!"
"Artemis." Elichia said softly, making Artemis' glare soften, "I am sorry. I truly am. If I could go back in time, I would never have let this happen. I love both yours and my mother, no one knows that more than you. So why are you questioning my revenge?"
Artemis was quiet, he didn't know what to say.
"Did you know," Elichia began, "the Sacred Blood that runs through my veins can make me age, even though I'm a vampire?"
   "It can?" Artemis looked puzzled.
"Yes. Even if I am a vampire, I can control my aging. I can be ten one day and thirty the next. It is quite a thing. Mother had told me it, just in case."
   "What's the point of that?"
"I have a theory. Sacred Blood 'containers' reincarnate. So all I have to do is find the reincarnation when they are young, befriend them, and grow up with them so they can trust me. Then I solemnly believe that they will lead me to Rachael Marie."
"But what if you don't find them in time?"
"I'll just have to have to right timing, now won't I?"
Artemis knew she had a good theory, however, chances are slim to none of her finding the Sacred Blood reincarnations.
"Hey, Elichia?" Artemis asked, "If you find my mother's reincarnation, will you tell me?"
"If I can find you, of course." Elichia smiled, "By the way, I will go by a different name from now on. So you can call me 'Ellie'."

Artemis had a friend back then named Elichia(pronounced Ellie-SHAH) who is a tomboy. They are cousins as well, because Destinare's brother married Eliane and their daughter(who is adopted) is Elichia.
