They’re forever you know, they should have a meaningA Poem by SamuelA poem about my tattoos I have.
A memorial to one who fell long ago.
A mystical insect that shines in the sunlight. It’s colorful wings pump my heart with joy. Always reminding me to play the cards I was dealt. A symbol that most don’t know. A sentiment that accepts everyone’s interpretations. It’s stone cold look marks it’s place on my body. Always reminding me of my inspirations. A symbol from the past. An inscription that charts my childhood. The legends behind these hieroglyphics, were the stories I grew up on. Always reminding me of my sense of adventure. A piece of graffiti, covered by a blessing heart. This art shows the truth I can’t ignore. The conflict I’ve always had. It reminds me that I’m chosen. A bracelet that will never fall off my wrist. A stone tablet that keeps the history of my most important bonds. It’s here so I can always hold them with me. The most beautiful accessory. It reminds me of the brother I lost. A set of primitive weapons. A rope that binds them together so I never lose track of my stock. The ammunition from my ancestors lifetime. The tribal look shows the pride I have in my heritage. It reminds me where I came from. A pen with a unique, retro feel. A sign of old times. The eyes from my works, stained in the soft, yet stiff texture. A way to tell myself to never give up on my dreams. A symbol of death, my greatest fear. The manifestation of my anxiety. A start of a new overgrowth, the positive influence of nature, bounding over the hills of my muscle. The beauty of nature shows the new cleanliness of my mind. © 2021 Samuel
