Tomorrow's Yesterday

Tomorrow's Yesterday

A Poem by Samuel E. Haven

A shallow heart may wither,

Into the valleys of unremembered days.

I watch as they, cascade along forgotten ways,

Though long the paths may stretch across

Diamond sands, and granite skies.

I cry for remembrance among deserted planes,

Of flagrant whispers and blatant lies.

A hollow heart may settle,

Nestled in between the ashes of tomorrow's yesterday.

The end may come, though somewhat late,

A shadow feeding shadows fate.

Sifted through an endless sky of blue,

We wait, for some faint hue

Of white and grey,

Across tomorrow's yesterday.
