Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by Samuel Dave
"

Some days, you walk through the mirror, the exact reflection

"
The skins are thin

Now smile, see easy
wait, what's fighting me?
look in the mirror
this is you
you and I are one
the same
we wear the same
we are the same

Now look in the eyes
what do you see? blank?
that's me
that's you
that's you, me, both
we are indifferent

Stop thinking, you are trapped
you don't need anger
you don't need frustration
you have me

Look in the eyes,
the blank that is me
punch the mirror
punch it
it'll set you free

Feel better, don't mind the blood
red is good, red is real
red is me

Thoughts are heavy, leave them
put the skins on
we look good, don't we?

I know she's an angel
but you'll see

What do you need?
Go on, go
"Hi, Violet, I love you"
