Intuition

Intuition

A Poem by Samuel Dave
"

What have you got to lose, when it's not written for a loss.

"

I wrote beautiful things about you
things I never dare say
and share it with strangers

I would steal glimpses of you
hiding between corridors
you sometimes staring
at the unprecedented crossroads

if your eyes seem forever a friend
are mine the liar
where's the courage to find
to convince you with a smile

I kept on waiting
running down the stairs
keeping my distance
for second chances often fail

I live in the shadows of a dreamer
who never knew cold in the winter
warm by the flames of hope
that I'll be brave this summer

I never had my head and heart together
I planned an unexpected encounter
and you stood there
staring with a smile.
