A Manner of Lamentation

A Manner of Lamentation

A Poem by penloverfool
"

(Forgive and Forget)

"

Illusions only are all things,
Passing like smoke, that
No feelings will be entrenched.
Today is laughter, then
Tomorrow will be tears and sorrows.

Rusts only are all things,
In front of the Supreme,
On a fate which is ferocious,
Rusts only are all dreams…
Rusts only are all things…

Drown all things to forgetfulness of our golden chronicle.
Forgive and forget…
No matter how bitter if we carry out,
Because it was imposed to be written on our palms…
That predetermined both of us not to go on with our love.

This is a very interesting piece. I have to say that I was pretty confused on the opening sentence because my brain kept wanting to read it as "Illusions are only all things" or maybe even "Illusions are only everying". It was the same way for the introduction of the Rust as well. In the fourth line of the first paragraph, you really don't need the "then" at the end. But that is up to you; author's preference. I really like the picture as well. I think it helps fill in any missing pieces that someone might have after reading your poem. I think you did a neat job. Thank you for sharing.
