There in my sleep, I am a king

I have a vast domain

I bathe with fairies in the spring

I lave in brook of fame

Sweet is the taste of my slumber

So, I like to sleep forever

 

There in my sleep, I shed no tear

My life is fresh and gay

My heart is unaware of fear

My soul oft flies away

Peace is the gift of my slumber

Then, I love to sleep forever

 

There in my sleep the angels sing

A soothing lullaby

Over the velvet cloud I swing

Across the vaulted sky

Zest is the breath of my slumber

True, I want to sleep forever

 

There in my sleep, I can transform

Into a butterfly

I can resist the strongest storm

Without a heavy sigh

Firm is the zeal of my slumber

Yes, I wish to sleep forever!
