A Poem by Ua

Whose soil have I taken claim?
Whose earth have I named?
Whose river have I run dry?
Out of whose mouth do I lie?

Whose story have I stole?
Whose freedom have I tolled?
For whose spirit do I cry?
On whose earth do I die?

Take this parcel from my chest.
Sew the seeds for birds to nest.
Take the wind from these lips.
Earth the moon unto eclipse.

I give it back for what its worth.
I give it back to the earth.
I give it back before it's done.
I give it back to the sun.

I give it back to the rivers wild.
I give it back to the sacred child.
Here my calls through the hills.
Take me now to do your will.
