Morning Glory

Morning Glory

A Poem by Sampoorna

Behold the camarderie of the vast glorious blue
Breathes golden hues of majestic sunlight
Blessed is the sky, for no more pervades
the woeful dark ignorance of night.

The sunkissed clouds, lashed by a brilliant pink
lulled by the moon so wispy white
they drift appart for now arrive
the birds, who partake homes for morning flight.

The wind blows over the meadows, so green and fogged
Subtle scents she carries along
So gently does she glide, so elegant like a bride
wipes away twilight's tears of song.

With childish innocence do merry melodies ring
from beautiful throats of happy larks
they rejoice and play, so happy and gray
For sleep they must at dark.
