The Loner

The Loner

A Poem by Sampoorna

I an sodden, I am trodden
My intellect minuscule
made me the butt of ridicule
I seethe,I boil
into the darkest corners I coil
The perennial storm that rages
within me, the pain
the agony, my pierced heart
my mutilated dignity
and mind ripped apart.
Not a scintilla of love
nor a sliver of compassion
to cajole my grieving soul
but a fervid downpour of insults
of shocking threats,
the devilish sniggers
the flagrant rebukes hurled
Oh, the temerity of their words!
I have feigned patience undeserved
and staged laughter, unnerved
But now a hiatus,grand
between me and forbearance stands!
Now love is a stranger
All affections endangered
I am obdurate
I am obliterated
Mirrored by a slow,starved death
Fie upon this world!
May all brethren perish
In the great holocaust!

Your writing is wonderful. very descriptive in a sort of cryptic way, I think. I read several of your poems, fire, chronicles of pain, my love etc. I'm not a poet--so excuse my ignorance-- But I do love your style of writing.
