You're Not Mine

Sometimes I forget that you're not mine

because I can say that I'm yours so easily.

There seems never to be enough time

because leaving me behind isn't a crime.

My choices are limited to pain or pain.

so I've tried not to choose at all.

I know I'm acting vainly in vain 

but I'm only trying to find my own gain.

I thought this was more than a game.

I have never been more wrong .

Now your so called "beautiful dame"

is crippled and lame.

Yet none of these things stop me from loving you

am I a fool?

It cannot be that my love is not true

for loving you is far more red than blue.

For shared passion is worth more than a dime.

here I go again.

For when you and I are so sublime 

I forget again that you are not mine.

If I may be so bold, your musicality is wonky in Stanza 3, but overall, this is amazing!! The ABAA rhyme scheme is stupendous and the sound work is absolutely brilliant!! Well done!!
