Tired

Tired

A Poem by Samuel A. Bonilla

Time was never on my side,
but I put that aside,
i left that in the back mind,
Cause I was blind by love,
& i had this crazy thought that we could be together,
Not forever, just for now, no need for vows,
I would've stuck with you thru whatever weather,
But You were ice cold, very bold, stuck to a code,
So I rolled the dice, hoping you'd be nice if I got ten,
I'm not here to pretend, nor I'm here looking to be just a friend,
I'm praying for a chance, hoping for a little glance, maybe even a dance in the rain
I'll take all the pain, Cause theres so much to gain,
but right now I feel like blowing my brains,
Cause day after day I run the same race, I maintain my pace looking for the case with your heart but I'm already falling a part, maybe it's my time to depart,
it seems like he got a head start
& has already mastered the art of this chase,
but I'm running this race for the love it, he's running it for the f**k of it
