A Love Worth Waiting ForA Poem by SammyShe sits alone On but an empty stage Waiting for her prince To take her away Her hopes are high And her dreams always show Every path she must go Many years have passed And she still waits For her and her lover To intwine their fates They're love is true Yet their lives are blue Though they still manage To get out the words I love you
Things darken over time She begins to loose hope And fears her special one Just can't cope She cried for weeks The tears streamed down her cheeks She continued to cry for weeks and weeks
She almost gave up hope Till a shadow rode down the slope Oh dear, could it be Her long lost lover Back from sea They held each other In their arms Walked for a while Palm in palm
A few more days passed And they were married Soon a baby She would have carried But problems arose Death soon took its toll They were captured by bandits And forced to a death A death in which no one Could ever forget They were forced into the sea And as they sunk to the bottom They looked into each others eyes A new love was embraced a new emotion was begotten
It is quite sad How they only had one week Only one moment In a lifetime to speak But for though their time was short It was the best time they had At least their moments Were spent really glad...
