Empty Bottle

Empty Bottle

A Poem by Sammilynn

I have stared at you long and hard.
You have called my name time and time again.
I see you everywhere I go.

Why can't you leave me alone?
What did I do to deserve this?
Why do you keeping hurting me?

Please let me go.
I can't hold on any longer.
I am so tired.

I don't like the person you have turned me into.
I need to find myself again.
I need to be freed from your grasp.

I will stare at you no longer.
I will silence you when you call out for me.
I refuse to see you everywhere.

I'm okay.
The bottles are no longer full.
I have ended this war.
