Never Enough Time

Never Enough Time

A Poem by Sammi

Tick, tock, tick, tock

As the big hand

Makes its way around

The face of the clock.

Tick, tock, tick, tock

A reminder that time

Never remains still

Time is constant and flowing

Almost like a river

Though rivers do not always last

Time doesn't dry up as rivers do

When they say goodbye.

Tick, tick, tick, tock

Time a blessing and a curse

A carefully crafted double edged sword

Look too far ahead

You'll miss what's staring

You in the face.

Tick, tock, tick, tock

Some move on before their time

Time may pause in the heart

But on the outside keeps on going.

Tick, tock, tick, tock

A push to live in the moment

Take in the little things and

Live a cherished and full filled life.

A strange concept, Time; you've done well to capture aspects of it and how we are affected by it.
