Tempting Fate

Tempting Fate

A Poem by Sammi

Tweet, tweet, tweet

Chirp, chirp, chirp

Goes the bird song

Old as time itself

Sweet as the midnight lullaby.

Dancing underneath the moonlight

Finding our way home

Thanks to the starlit sky.

In time to see good old mother nature begin to rumble

Signalling the sun

Its time

Time to creep on slowly up.

Sun meets moon

In a fleeting encounter

Wanting, needing, wishing

Always for more time

And that the other didn't have to go.

Sharing the briefest of embraces

Whispering sweet nothings

Is this the start of

A sweet, tender blossoming romance?

Or just flirting with disaster?
