Looking Glass

Under a star lit sky, where the ocean looks black,

Black as a pearl. Looking down at the ocean I see a

Window, a gateway to a whole other world we know

Nothing about and couldn’t even begin to imagine.

Shimmers of light bounce of the creases in the ocean,

Where in those moments I catch glimmers of movement.

The ocean has two sides like a person but the underneath

Never changes the way a person does.
