Love is the Great Protector

Love is the Great Protector

A Poem by Samith Pich

Love is

a million small kindnesses rolled into one

Love is

still cherishing me when I’ve come all undone

Love is the cure, the antidote, the vaccination

Love is the light, the pulse in each sub-atomic vibration

Love is the messenger, the message, a call to arms

You need your wits with Love, it has surprisingly little charm

Love is never still-born in thought, action or grace

Love is all around. Love is on your face

Love can remain untold but rejoices in the telling

Love is timeless, without fashion and requires no selling

Love is so simply complex and so complexly simple -

            There is no in between!

Love is believing everything you see and in the Great Unseen

Love is a novel, an encyclopaedia, a single word

Love is a great noun to have but it prefers to be a verb

Love starts with yourself but only truly flowers with others

Love is the invisible bond that makes us all sisters and brothers

Love is indiscriminative, no one unworthy before it, no great selector

And in between myself, between us, and for the world

Love is indeed, the Great Protector.

Whoa...rhyming...and 'tis good
It's up-beat
and smiley
yet profound
and important
all at the same time
...like yourself, perhaps?

tee hee

Each line
gives pause for thought
and contains great comparisons/imagery

You've made a great job of this;
it's a pleasant read
and also thought-provoking/soothing

Thanks for posting it

Love is indeed the Great Protector. We don't love often or deep enough. This is a great reminder of that.
