Break thorugh the Shadows

The shadows choke down whats left of the light
I need to get out, fast, I need to fight
The darkness is chasing me, I'm running for the door
Save me, I'm falling, falling to the floor
The shadows are creeping closer, They're gonna get me
If I let them get too close, I'll never be free
The door is in my sight, I'm almost, almost there
Something grabs me, pulls me back, this isn't fair
Im scared, I claw, hit, and scratch
I fall to the ground, waiting for an idea to hatch
My body starts to hurt, I must get out
I'll be alright, I'll get free, right? Im starting to doubt
I give up, I cant fight anymore, I start to weep
A light shines bright, cutting the darkness deep
And......
I'm free

That was suspensful...I was afraid you wouldn't get ou. I could just see the shadows pulling you back and pulling you back. Sometimes you have to give up before you're free.

I like the feel of desperation and fear in the poem. I like the feeling to escape and the desire to give up. Then the light of hope appeared. A very nice ending to a excellent poem.
