I hid away in the shadows
Waiting and waiting

It's good, though the meter trails off so I'm guessing you are singing these words...
no worries I would like to understand the first line of the third stanza... "Why id it here in my heart" It seemed to cause be to stumble each time I read it.

Even before I found out it was inspired by songs I thought that it sounded like it could be put to music. It just seems to have a musical air to it in the way that it's phrased and the line lengths and all. As for the poetry I thought the emotions came across clearly and it's deliciously dark.
