Slow and carefulA Poem by xSamilynnxHer heart tears so fast From one to many scars From the worst of her past She wraps up the pieces that remain Slow and careful not to make it worse Then all the years and different pain
She writes her story on her arm Slow and careful not to mess up Not caring how much she does harm Holding strong to the knife Her head grows light She says goodbye to her life
Her body begins to sway And her vision fades Slow and careful she finds a place to lay She tires again Knife in hand It glides across, smooth as a pen
It starts to rain They all gather outside Crying through the pain Slow and careful the casket falls Saying fairwell to all around, Saying fairwell to the girl from the halls © 2012 xSamilynnxAuthor's Note
