Little black sheep

Sad and alone

Many have left you

On you own

You stand out

In that big white crowd

Your eyes fill with hot tears

You dare not cry too loud

You try to fall astray

From the big white mess

Hoping someone would notice today

But no one noticed your cry for help

As the big bad wolf took you away

Finally it bit down, with your last yelp

 

 

Little black sheep

Why did they leave you

When I read the poem I can feel all the sadness and pain in it, and yet after reading your author's note it also has this sense of redemption and happiness to it. Which is great for me since I now know that the sad ending of this piece was only the middle of the story to one that ended happy, if that makes sense.
