Chapter One-UnexpectedA Chapter by Samie KayThat day was awful, the worst I've ever seen.
I stood outside the old diner, waiting for my twin sister. She's never late... I wondered, and sat down on a park bench. What if something's wrong? I continued worrying. Suddenly I felt a jerk all over my body. At first I thought I was having a heart attack, but then I realized it was something a twin should never have to feel. Liv, something's wrong with Liv! I jumped inside my car and slammed my foot on the gas pedal, and followed my feeling. And there it was, the worst thing I have ever seen. I pressed on the brake and got out of my car. I couldn't move for a second.
There was Liv's car, crushed, and there was blood on the seats. The other car was equally crushed, as well. Car crash, oh my God Liv was in a car crash! I walked around the sharp glass and metal, making sure to not step on any. I approched an ambulance. Oh no, no, please God, no, don't let Georgia be in the car! The paramedic stared at me and I just looked at him, trying to hide my emotions from him.
"Was my sister and niece in the car?" I asked, wobbly, and continuing to hide my emotions.
"Miss, I don't know who you're talking about." he told me. "But there was an 'Olivia Randolph' in one of those cars. That your sister or niece?"
Oh God, no no no, she's my twin sister! What if she dies, what if something happens to her? "Yes, that's my twin sister, she has a 5 year old daughter Georgia," I continued, about to cry, when I saw her.
Georgia was being rolled out on a stretcher into the ambulance. "Sir, that's my niece, where's my sis?" I asked, on the verge of falling over.
"Your sister is at the hospital now, Georgia is on her way." he continued, "I believe that because you're family, you can ride in the ambulance." I frowned. I didn't want to go in an ambulance with my more likely dying niece.
"No thank you, I can drive," I exclaimed, leaving him. Nothing's going to happen to them, nothing's going to happen to Olivia, nothing's going to happen to Georgia, this is just a dream, a horrible dream, oh God get me out of this nightmare!
I stepped on the gas pedal and drove out of the mess. When I approached the hospital I stopped the car and parked it, then ran inside. © 2011 Samie KayAuthor's Note
